What Works for You? Finding the Best Hot Dawg for your Workspace

Your workspace at home should be one of the most comfortable rooms in your house. It is a place of peace for someone who enjoys the calm that working on a project can bring. To help ensure you are in a pleasant environment this fall, a unit heater is an optimal choice.

Our Hot Dawg® garage heater can keep the chill out of your workspace while you tackle any project. One of the biggest questions is, which Hot Dawg is right for you? At Modine, we offer three state-of-the-art unit heaters: power-vented gas-fired unit heater, separated combustion gas-fired unit heater and the H20 low profile hot water unit heater.

Below is some information on each product to help you best decide the unit for you:

Hot Dawg® Power-Vented Gas-Fired Unit Heater

Hot Dawg® Power-Vented Gas-Fired Unit Heater

This low-profile, lightweight unit can easily be installed 1 inch from the ceiling with only two angle brackets. Operating on natural or propane gas, it has a 100% shut-off with continuous retry to allow for safe ignition just in case the unit doesn’t light on the first try. This model uses a small-diameter vent pipe to help simply side-wall or roof venting.

Hot Dawg® Separated Combustion Gas-Fired Unit Heater

Hot Dawg® Separated Combustion Gas-Fired Unit Heater

The separated combustion unit draws 100% of the combustion air from outside, making it a great choice for those working in a woodshop or an area where flammable materials are regularly used. The use of fresh air helps reduce common concerns regarding dusty, dirty or humid applications that could hinder performance, durability and efficiency. The sealed compartment provides a barrier for the combustion gas valve, ignition control, manifold and burners from the environment.

Hot Dawg® H20 Low-Profile Hot Water Unit Heater

Hot Dawg® H20 Low-Profile Hot Water Unit Heater

This unit is the only low-profile residentially-certified hot-water unit heater in North America. The unit provides a one-of-a-kind heating solution for your workspace due to its versatility to be mounted almost anywhere. The versatile installation options are due to the electrical and piping connections’ ability to be easily reversed in the field. This unit also has no external parts thanks to the centrifugal blowers.

No matter what your residential workspace conditions are, our Hot Dawg® series will provide the solution for you.
